I was having my morning nap as usual. Mommy was typing an email on her computer in the living room. Suddenly the floors and surrounding furniture started to shake in a wave-like momentum. Mommy heard a little 'wooo' sound when that happened. Her first thoughts were "Oh God! Earthquake! Where should we hide?!" and "What if it becomes really serious?" She and Daddy quickly sent messages through MSN to inform each other. Just then, the photo frame on the table and a cooler bag on the refrigerator fell down from their positions. I was woken up by the swaying of my crib but I did not cry. Before we knew it, the tremors stopped. Phew...
Tremors are not very common in Singapore, except only the mild ones from earthquakes that occurred in neighbouring Indonesia. However, this one measured a magnitude of 5.4 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of that morning quake happened somewhere near Chino Hills and Los Angeles which is quite a distance from where we live. But even so, we still feel the effects of the shake. And we saw from news reports that people in as far as Las Vegas and even San Diego felt them too. Fortunately, there is no report of death, only minor injuries and minor building facade damages.
Hmm, now that we are in an earthquake region, it's really hard to predict when the next big one will come. Life's always unpredictable, thus we must enjoy life and live life to the fullest. We should also count our blessings each day.

Close encounter with the small human kind
By "small human kind", I meant babies.
Since I was born, I seldom get to meet and play with other babies. Well, today I get to meet a baby boy named "Junior". He's Daddy's co-worker's 3 month old son. He's cute and has huge round eyes and he likes to suck his thumb thumb. Haha...to think that I was as tiny as him like half a year back.
We went to the street fair at MV lake today coz it's 4th of July holiday and there was going to be fireworks at 9pm. There were many people at the fair and the weather's super duper hot. There were stalls selling arts and crafts, clothings, accessories, snacks, food and some games and children's rides. We reached there at around 4 plus in the afternoon and were lucky enough to find a parking space along the main road. With such a crowded event going on, parking could be a huge problem.
About an hour or so later, we met up with Keith (Daddy's co-worker) and his family and went to the street fair together. I was feeling rather uncomfortable under the hot sun by then. Then when it was time for dinner, we found a table, bought some food and sat down to eat. Mommy fed me my dinner first while Daddy took his. After I'm done, Mommy ate hers and Daddy played with me. I was initially quite shy at first but after my dinner, I warmed up a bit and started to feel more relaxed with my new friends.

We lingered around the area till 9pm. I was quite sleepy by then. So Mommy and Daddy took turns to carry me and tried to coax me to sleep. Then finally the fireworks started. It was my first time watching a fireworks display. There were many different types and the colors were great. It lasted for around 20 minutes or so which was pretty long. But I fell asleep eventually even though the sound was quite loud and missed the show halfway. Anyway it was an interesting and tired day that I had and now I'm back home and drifting away into dreamland...kekeke...nite nite!

TeeVee Eyes
Sometimes Mommy likes to watch TV programs during the day. So when she switches the tivo on, she'll definitely press '56' on the remote. This brings her to the Food Network channel.
Since she came to US, she's becoming quite domesticated and she's a big fan of the Food Network channel.
Therefore almost everyday I get to watch celebrity chefs whipping up dishes of every kind in that very box in the living room. Maybe that explains my love for food haha. I love to eat.
Who knows someday I may even become a chef myself??
But the whole point is, I'm also quite 'glued' to the teevee set. Hmm...especially when something attracts my attention, such as a moving picture or cartoons or sounds.

1) Pry open the kitchen cabinet doors
2) Reach and touch the knobs on the stove
3) Climb down onto the floor from Daddy and Mommy's bed
4) Open the doors to closet, toilet, bedroom door, and even the main door
5) Pull open drawer doors
6) Open the toilet bowl cover
You name it, I can do it.
Time for further child proofing.
