Jack-Jack Look-alike

This morning I woke up as usual, rolled here, climbed there and babbled loudly to wake Daddy and Mommy up for my morning milk milk. Mommy opened her eyes and the first thing she saw was my cute face and my hairdo. She then burst out laughing as she quickly grabbed the camera and snapped these photos.

Really so funny meh?

Finger food

This week I started on finger food. Daddy fed me Gerber biscuits and Earth's Best teething biscuits.

I like the Gerber ones better because they are smaller for me to bite. But when the strawberry-apple flavored star puffs get stuck in my palms, and I can't eat them, I'll get frustrated. Then sometimes I get lazy and want Mommy to feed me the biscuits straight into my mouth hehe...

The teething biscuits, on the other hand, are bigger and rectangular in shape. When I started eating it, my hands, fingers and mouth got all dirty and gooey haha...

But at least I've learnt how to put food into my mouth now, which is a pretty good milestone.

Fingering the teething biscuit
Wheat and Barley flavors
Gerber Graduates strawberry-apple puffs
Putting a puff into my mouth
Picking up the puffs using my finger and thumb

Stand to Sit

It's been quite a while since I blogged. That's because I was busy trying to figure out how I can sit down on the floor from my standing position. Finally I was able to do it just now :D

New shoes

Now that I started to wear jeans and polo shirts and shirts when I go out to 'cheong' places on weekends, Daddy thinks that I should have a decent pair of shoes to complete my suave look, at the very least.

Therefore, we went to Target at Foothill Ranch to begin our search. Seems to me that they carry more girls' shoes than boys' there. We nearly couldn't find a pair of boys' shoes that fit me and my budget. I think most girls start to have more pretty stuff when they are at a young age....which they may grow up to be what we call a "shopaholic"...and that means that either they have to work hard to sustain their materialistic cravings or they ask $$ from their boyfriends, husbands or whatever. Hmm...now, am I being too critical of the female species? Hehe...better shut up now else I will get bombarded with hate mails from my female fans.

Back to my shoes shopping, we noticed a pair of brown sneakers at $12.99 at first. Daddy tried them on my feet. Not too bad because they happened to complement my outfit of brown bodysuit with khaki cargo shorts.

Price was ok.

Then Mommy found another pair of sneakers...a white pair and it has a Nike look-alike piece of air at the soles. This pair suited our pockets even better as they cost less than 10 bucks. So off we go with a pair of white sneakers on my feet.

One thing about the shoes...the shoe laces are super long!

Once I have my shoes on, Daddy let me stand on the ground. Now my feet feels so much heavier...hehehe...

Holding my own bottle

Nowadays Daddy let me hold my own milk bottle to feed myself supper. The technique is to position one or two hands at the bottom so that when the milk is finishing soon, I can tilt the bottle up.

Happy 8 Months old

Hey folks, I'm turning 8 months old today.
  • I can crawl everywhere now, e.g. tv bench, patio door, kitchen and even toilet hehe...
  • I can hold onto something and pull myself up and stay there for quite some time, e.g. the railings of my crib
  • I love to babble words such as "Da da" now
  • I can walk a few steps while holding onto Daddy or Mommy's hands
  • I can stuff my own pacifier into my mouth
  • I can hold my own bottle when drinking milk
  • One of my upper teeth has came out and the one next to it is on the way (that explains the recent fussiness hehe)
  • My lower 2 teeth are growing out more
  • I outgrew most of my clothes that are labelled 6 months and above. I need to wear most clothes that are 9 months or 12 months and above.
  • I love to open drawer doors
  • I still dislike changing my diapers and clothes while lying down
  • I also dislike having my nose digged...hahaha...

Baby cousin Isaac

Haha, my Rachel Da-yi gave birth to my cute cousin Isaac on 4th April. He looks a bit like my maternal grandmum back home.

He seems so nice and contented lying sideways in the plastic crib in the hospital don't he? Mommy said I used to be quite active when I was born and I liked to fidget around and disliked being wrapped tightly in a swaddler hehe...

I'm a 表哥 now!

Loo Look-alike 2

Remember my Loo look-alike meter in February that says I look like Daddy more by 30%? Today, Mommy generated another meter with one my latest photo and the results showed that I look more like Mommy now by 10%. Haha...funneee

Ain't No Mountain High Enough

Video says it all...

3rd Tooth

Just today, Daddy and Mommy realized that my top tooth has already came out through the gums. Hehe, again only 1 came out faster without the other. Last time my bottom 2 were also the same.
